The Blessing

This song began with a very special guitar. The guitar that was used throughout this track belonged to Pete Townsend of the band The Who.
The Who, and Pete Townsend in particular is one of my favorite artist. I was able to borrow one his guitars and decided to record a song that reflects his influence on me. He often wrote very spiritual lyrics and put them to great Rock music. I took one of my favorites, a well know Who song called Bargain. It a song about his devotion to his teacher Meher Baba. I decided to used the bridge of the song and then using the same chord progression create a new song with the addition of lines from Jap Ji by Guru Nanak.
